Background
Many European countries face the problem that recruiting into the VET system is unbalanced and not representative to the demographic and cultural composition of the Member States. The accessibility to VET for learners in remote or peripheral regions and/or from language minorities is restrained by geographic barriers and by the fact that education is often only provided in the common language of the nation. pdf
The Contribution of the Building and Construction School
The Building and Construction School finds the COMBAR project relevant for two reasons:
Firstly, we are interested in being part of a team that works at developing material about cultural and language barriers aiming at helping the apprentice complete his or her education.
Secondly, we sincerely believe that this project will be of immediate assistance to our 100-300 apprentices, who will be in our school system throughout the period of the COMBAR project. pdf
